Rescue:

Pet Patrol was contacted about a mother cat and her two kittens who had been left behind in
Listowel. While neighbours were aware of their presence, it was concerned community members
who reached out to us after learning the little family was still fending for themselves. The original
owners’ cat had gotten out and given birth, and while they managed to find homes for two of the
kittens, they were unable, or unwilling, to place the remaining ones. As the days passed, the
mama cat and her two babies were left behind without proper care. Thankfully, with the help of
compassionate residents and quick action from Pet Patrol, Oppie and Opal are now safe and
beginning their journey to loving forever homes.

Personality:

Oppie and Opal are a sweet and playful pair who adore each other’s company. Whether they’re
racing up the cat tree or tumbling over toys, these two are always on the go, until it’s time for
cuddles of course! In their foster home, they’ve quickly become best friends with the resident two year old
toddler, and the feeling is mutual. They’re gentle, curious, and wonderful with children.
Oppie and Opal also get along great with the two adult cats in the home, showing just how
adaptable and friendly they are. Watching them zoom around the room, explore new spaces, and
snuggle up together is sure to bring endless smiles. When they’re not busy chasing each other,
they love finding cozy spots to curl up in or settling in a lap for a nap. Oppie and Opal are ready to
be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors.
