Freddie

Rescue:

Freddie was a stray who had been living outdoors and receiving food from a kind family for several months. At first, he was timid and would run away whenever anyone approached. He kept his distance, watching cautiously from the back patio. With time, gentle conversation, and regular meals, Freddie began to warm up. After about a month, he started to seek out affection—bunting his head into hands as food was set down and even allowing brief pickups. It became clear that, with some patience, he could adapt well to life indoors. Wanting a better life for him, the family brought Freddie inside. He spent the night in the bathroom, where he ate, used the litter box, and explored quietly. Though he was still startled by sudden movements or noises, he showed signs of trust. The next morning, they found him curled up under a blanket, calm and relaxed. He was easily lifted into a carrier and brought into Pet Patrol’s care.

Personality:

Freddie is a kindhearted little guy navigating a big, sometimes overwhelming world. At first, he approaches people with gentle curiosity—slow steps, soft head boops, and hopeful nudges, just to make sure they’re kind. Once he feels safe, Freddie’s whole personality blossoms. He flops over, rolls around, and soaks up every bit of affection with pure delight. He absolutely loves being doted on and is a total sweetheart once trust is built. Freddie gets along wonderfully with other cats and would benefit from a feline friend to show him the ropes. Because loud noises and sudden chaos can make him nervous, a quieter home would be ideal for this sensitive boy. But the real key to his heart? Churu treats! He goes wild for them and they’re the perfect way to win him over. Freddie is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
