Rescue:

Sully was a streetsmart
survivor, who had been making rounds in a quiet Waterloo neighborhood
for over a year. He knew just where to go for food, slipping between porches and relying on kindhearted
people. One of them was a volunteer’s mom, who had been leaving warm beds and fresh
meals to help him through the harsh winter. When she noticed his eye was in rough shape, she
knew he needed help. She set up a humane trap, but Sully was too clever—pulling food from inside
without ever stepping in. Then, in a surprising turn of events, another Pet Patrol volunteer called
about a stray at a different location. Within five minutes, an orange tabby with an injured eye
walked right in! A photo was shared, and after a quick phone call, everything clicked—this was Sully
who had been eluding capture all winter. That’s when another piece of the puzzle fell into place.
Thanks to everyone’s dedication and a bit of luck, Sully is now safe in Pet Patrol’s care, where he’ll
never have to fend for himself again.

Personality:

Sully is a quiet, gentle soul who brings a calm presence wherever he goes. He enjoys observing
the world from up high and often chooses the tallest spots in the sanctuary for his naps—usually in
positions that don’t look the least bit comfortable, but he loves them! Sully is best known for his
quirky sleeping habits, his love of sunbathing, and his appreciation for tasty treats. He thrives in the
company of other cats and would do best in a calm home with a patient adopter who can give him
time to settle in and feel safe. Sully is truly a gentle giant, full of quiet affection and peaceful
companionship. Sully is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into
the family and keep him safely indoors.
