Rescue:
Ella was rescued from a feeding station in a rural town not far from the sanctuary. Her mother had
first appeared there, slipping through a decorative concrete fence to access the backyard garden.
Not long after, she began bringing her kittens with her; tiny and just four weeks old. The family,
with babies ,Earl, Eevee, Ernie, Espurr, and Eureka, were fed daily and gently socialized with pets
and play, but the conditions were far from ideal. It was cold at night and raining nearly every day,
and the kittens were far too young to be exposed to the elements. Thankfully, Pet Patrol was
contacted, and the little family was brought into care. Ella and her kitterns are now safe, warm, and
thriving.
Personality:
Ernie, a lookalike to his sister Eevee, is a playful little guy who loves a good wrestle with his
siblings. He’s curious and bold when it comes to play, but gentle and sweet when it’s time to wind
down. He’s also learning that pets feel pretty great and is growing more affectionate by the day.
Ernie would thrive in a home with a sibling or playful companion to keep the fun going. Ernie is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
