Rescue:
Dixie and her kittens are what we like to call a pot of gold here at Pet Patrol; an entire family of
stunning orange cats, not even a speck of white among them. For a few years, Dixie lived outdoors
near a small town, hanging around the same house. Locals looked out for her, and when she had
her first litter, a small rescue stepped in to help once the kittens were around 12 weeks old. But
Dixie herself remained elusive, never quite close enough to catch. That changed with her second
litter. With patience, time, and a humane trap, Dixie and all her kittens were finally brought to safety.
Now, she and her babies—Davian, Daphne, Dalton, Dani, and Devyn—are thriving in Pet Patrol’s
care. Safe, warm, and no longer at the mercy of the elements, they’ve settled into indoor life
beautifully.
Personality:
Daphne was once the shyest of the litter, but after time to build her confidence, she’s now one of
the most loving. She’s playful, especially with solo toys—often meowing at them while she plays.
She also loves wrestling and chasing her siblings… before getting distracted by an oh so bouncy
spring. No longer afraid of being picked up, she loves all the attention her people are willing to give
her. And once you start petting her, especially on the bum, she melts into purrs. Daphne’s newfound
confidence has made her into a bit of a role model for her sister Devyn, whom she would be best
adopted with, Daphne
can continue to embolden her shyer sibling. Daphne is ready to be adopted
into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
