Rescue:
Honey appeared one day at a quiet rural property, dainty and determined. The barn was very tidy,
the animals well cared for—including a colony of feral cats who lived peacefully on the land. But
Honey was different. She didn’t want to stay outside. She waited near the door of the house,
meowed softly, and longed to be let in. It was clear she wasn’t a barn cat; more than likely, she
had been dropped off, unwanted and left to fend for herself. When Pet Patrol volunteers arrived to
help her, they found Honey nestled near a large bucket filled with straw, and kittens. But not just
her own. A second bucket nearby held another litter, all tiny faces peering up with wide, unsure
eyes. Ten kittens in total, old enough to eat on their own but still needing care. There was no
question—they were all coming with us. Now Honey and her babies are safe, warm, and
surrounded by love. She no longer waits by a door wondering when her family will return, because
a new, better chapter has begun.
Personality:
Henry is a sweet and cuddly boy who loves attention and playtime in equal measure. He’s
especially close with his sister Heather—together they run, wrestle, explore, and then collapse into
a snuggly nap beside each other. Wand toys with ribbons or strings and zooming through tunnels
are among his favourite things. Henry would love to be adopted with Heather or into a home with
another playful kitten to keep him entertained and active. Henry is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
