ADOPTION PROFILE

Reggie

Reggie

Reggie

Rescue:

Reggie’s journey to safety began last summer when he appeared at one of Pet Patrol’s volunteers
feeding stations in a small rural village. Scared and wary, Reggie would dart away at the sight of
the volunteer who fed him. Over the next month, he stopped running but still kept his distance. For
three months, the volunteer worked patiently to gain Reggie’s trust, protecting him from other cats
that picked on him and offering him canned food with a kind voice. Slowly, Reggie began talking
back to her, and she knew it was only a matter of time before he let her help. As the weather turned
colder, Reggie stuck close to the house, loudly voicing his displeasure at being outside. One snowy
night, after disappearing for days, Reggie returned, meowing loudly as if to say he’d had enough of
the winter. This time, when the basement door was held open, Reggie bolted inside, finally safe and
warm. It took time for him to accept touch, but once he did, Reggie’s sweet side shone.

Personality:

Reggie is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. The key to his heart is simple: show him love and he will love you right back. He’s easy-going and a bit of a couch potato, and loves spending his days lounging around you, looking at what you’re doing and waiting for head scratches. Once you earned his trust, he will surprise you by coming to sleep on the bed against you, and being as soft as he is, he makes for a great cuddle buddy. He also likes  looking out the window at the trees and squirrels, and running around the house with other furry friends. Reggie is very social and is sad when he is alone for too long, so he looking for a calm family with hopefully another cat who can give him lots of pets.
