Rescue:

Pet Patrol has been helping surrounding farms near the sanctuary for years, working with families
who do things the traditional way. Life on these farms isn’t easy, many rely on a single income,
juggle a second business, and care for large families, often without modern conveniences. With
money tight, spaying and neutering barn cats is simply not an option, leading to overpopulation.
This is where cat rescues step in, ensuring these colonies stay healthy while keeping the numbers
under control. Alastair and his sisters, Ambrosia and Adira, were born into one such colony. Their
farm had been overwhelmed with two litters a year for the past two years, and the owners finally
realized that something needed to change. “We can hardly give them away,” they admitted,
agreeing that having the cats fixed would make a difference. Not wanting these three to continue
the harsh life of a barn cat, they reached out for help. Soon, Alastair, Ambrosia, and Adira arrived at
Pet Patrol, where they’ve thrived in a warm and loving environment. Now, they’re ready to leave
their farm days behind and find forever homes where they’ll always be safe and cherished.

Personality:

Adira is a sweet and sensitive girl who just needs a little time to feel safe and settled. She’s come a
long way at the sanctuary, growing more confident and curious by the day. She’s often spotted perched
in the window, watching the traffic roll by or keeping an eye on wildlife in the back fields. Although
the busy sanctuary life can be a bit much for her, she still enjoys gentle play and the company of
her feline friends. Adira is calm, quietly affectionate, and appreciates a soft voice and a gentle
hand. She enjoys being petted and loves a treat or two. She would thrive in a quiet home with a
patient person who can offer her the time she needs to blossom fully. Once she knows she’s safe,
Adira will no doubt become a loyal and loving companion. Adira is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
