Rescue:

Callie and her kittens’ (Cher, Celine, Carlos and Cyndi) story is one of resilience and a mother’s
unwavering love. When the kittens were just six weeks old, a terrifying moment unfolded—Callie
darted across a busy road, and her babies tried to follow. Too small and too slow, they were
suddenly in the path of oncoming traffic. A woman, seeing the danger, ran out to chase them to
safety as cars rushed by. The kittens scrambled up the tires of a large construction vehicle parked
nearby. Three were scooped up quickly, but one panicked and slipped between the tight space of
two transport truck tires. Managing to free her, that little one bolted and disappeared. Miraculously,
after a few tense days and hawk sightings, she was safely rescued too. Callie is now safe and in
Pet Patrol’s care, along with all her kittens. She’s a sweet, brave mama who gets along well with
other cats, is unfazed by dogs, and stays close to the people who helped her survive.
