Rescue:

Callie and her kittens’ (Cher, Celine, Carlos and Cyndi) story is one of resilience and a mother’s
unwavering love. When the kittens were just six weeks old, a terrifying moment unfolded—Callie
darted across a busy road, and her babies tried to follow. Too small and too slow, they were
suddenly in the path of oncoming traffic. A woman, seeing the danger, ran out to chase them to
safety as cars rushed by. The kittens scrambled up the tires of a large construction vehicle parked
nearby. Three were scooped up quickly, but one panicked and slipped between the tight space of
two transport truck tires. Managing to free her, that little one bolted and disappeared. Miraculously,
after a few tense days and hawk sightings, she was safely rescued too. Callie is now safe and in
Pet Patrol’s care, along with all her kittens. She’s a sweet, brave mama who gets along well with
other cats, is unfazed by dogs, and stays close to the people who helped her survive.

Personality:

Carlos may be the only boy in his litter, but he’s got charm for days and a heart full of affection. This
soft orange tabby is sweet, sensitive, and loves being part of the action—whether it’s wrestling with
his sisters, pouncing on toys, or soaking up attention from his people. He’s perfectly content being
carried around like a baby and will stretch out bellyup
in the sunshine, completely at ease with
indoor life. Carlos is a confident and playful kitten, always eager for chin and ear rubs, and quick to
purr when he senses fun (or treats!) are on the way. He’s also a bit of a mama’s boy, when the
games get too wild, he checks in for reassurance before diving back into the fun. With his classic
“M” tabby forehead and lovable nature, Carlos is a true gem. He has been socialized with children
in his foster home and would do great in a household with plenty of love, playtime, and another
feline friend to keep him company. Carlos is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
