Rescue:

Elmer’s road to rescue began when a concerned community member posted online about a stray
cat who had been wandering her neighborhood for some time. He was often seen crying outside,
his ear badly injured, and despite usually running away from people, he was now sitting in a garden
bed, too weak and worn out to move. Seeing the urgency, another kindhearted
individual stepped
in, set a humane trap, and was able to safely capture Elmer. They quickly reached out to Pet Patrol
for help. As it turns out, Elmer was not a stranger to rescue efforts — he had been trapped and
neutered five years earlier through a TNR program. Back then, he was a feisty boy, but now, worn
down by life outdoors, he seemed to realize that help had finally come. Thanks to the compassion
of multiple people in the community, Elmer is now safe with Pet Patrol, where he can heal, rest, and
be shown the love and kindness he has always deserved. His days of surviving alone are finally
behind him, and brighter days are ahead.

Personality:

Elmer is a ruggedly handsome boy whose tough outdoor past has only made his heart shine brighter. Once a cat who’d never known a gentle touch, he now melts for ear rubs, neck massages,
and head scratches, rewarding you with soft meows and steady purrs. He is known for standing on
his hind tippy toes, while on a raised surface, reaching up and putting his paws on you. Giving you
little kitty kisses on your face and nudging you with his head.Curious and chatty, he’ll let you know
exactly when it’s cuddle time, or toy time, as he’s recently discovered the pure joy of batting at
springs and feather wands. These days you’ll find him lounging in a plush cat bed, gazing out the
window from the comfort of a cozy, climate controlled
home instead of braving the harsh world
outside. Elmer is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
