Rescue:

For ten long years, Javion and his companion Jasmin lived hidden beneath a small cottage tucked
behind an old mansion turned apartment
building at a busy traffic intersection. The cottage offered
only the barest shelter. Every winter, the two cats curled up tightly on top of each other to survive
the bitter cold. Their days were spent in constant vigilance, dodging a large coyote known to roam
the area. A kind woman discovered them and began feeding them daily, her presence the one
bright spot in their otherwise difficult lives. Still, no matter how gently she tried, she couldn’t get
close enough to rescue them. Javion remained wary, until one day he was injured, most likely
from the coyote. His leg was slashed, and it became clear that time had finally caught up to him.
Seeing his struggle, the woman knew it was now or never. With patience and time, she was finally
able to trap Javion and Jasmin and bring them to safety. Now in Pet Patrol’s care, they are
beginning a new chapter, one filled with safety, warmth, and love they’ve waited a decade to find.

Personality:

Javion is the most beloved cat at the sanctuary; a gentle soul with a heart of gold and a fan club of
both people and cats. He’s almost always found lounging on the day bed in the center of the
sanctuary, gazing at the door with eager anticipation, knowing the next person to walk through will
shower him with love. While it took time for him to fully trust, once he did, Javion blossomed into the
happiest, most affectionate boy you could ever meet. Javion adores everyone, cats and humans
alike. He’s spotted snuggled up with a different feline friend each day. Even the less social cats look
out for Javion, gently batting away hands to protect their special time with him. He’s their
peacekeeper, their comfort, their soft place to land. Since receiving treatment for his arthritis,
Javion’s mobility has improved, and now he explores the sanctuary at his own pace, taking in the
world he’s finally safe to enjoy. He is truly one of a kind—a wise, loving, and special cat who
deserves every ounce of comfort and joy in his golden years. Javion is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
