Rescue:
Freddie’s journey to safety began when he started showing up on someone’s property in the
snowiest winter we have had in years. At first, he was just a passing visitor – an orange tabby
standing out against the snow drifts, who roamed and kept to himself. As the days went on, he
returned again and again, lingering longer each time. Once they got a better look at him, the
homeowner began leaving out food, and Freddie gratefully accepted the meals. It soon became
clear that Freddie had taken quite an interest in the resident cat, even leaving his scent around the
property. Still, he remained gentle and mild mannered,
never causing any trouble. Then, one day,
he appeared with an injured paw. That was it, the family knew he couldn’t stay out there any longer.
They set up a humane trap, hoping to bring him to safety – and this time, Freddie didn’t resist. It
was as if he knew help had finally arrived. Now safe in Pet Patrol’s care, Freddie is receiving the
love, food, and medical attention he needs.
Personality:
Freddie is a handsome boy with a confident presence and a charming personality to match. He
loves being the king of the castle and would thrive in a home where he can be the center of
attention. This curious explorer enjoys investigating every nook and cranny, making his rounds like
a royal inspector. While he doesn’t demand attention, Freddie always appreciates a good pet or
head scritch —and he never turns down affection once it’s offered. Freddie is particularly fond of
playtime and loves toys that let him chase, pounce, and show off his athletic side. One of his
favourite spots is the catio, where he can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. He’s not a fan of being
picked up, but he’s easy to approach and incredibly people friendly.
While he loves humans,
Freddie finds the busy sanctuary life a bit overwhelming and would prefer a home where he can
reign solo without other cats. Freddie is ready to be adopted into his forever home – one that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
