Rescue:
Colton and his adopted siblings come from a rural barn where the cat population quickly grew out
of control. It all began with one unaltered male cat and a stray female who was abandoned there.
Over time, the situation spiraled, leaving a retired woman and her adult son—who faces health
challenges—struggling to care for an evergrowing
number of cats and kittens. These cats and
kittens, ranging from 15 weeks to 2 years old, are incredibly friendly and wellsocialized
despite
their challenging start in life. With limited resources and mounting veterinary bills, the family did
their best to provide food, shelter, and medical care for the cats, but it became overwhelming.
Recognizing the need for help, they reached out to local rescues, and that’s when Pet Patrol
stepped in. Colton and his baby brothers were among the first to be brought to safety. Now safe in
Pet Patrol’s care, they are on the path to finding loving homes where they will no longer have to
endure concrete floors and work benches or live in uncertainty.
Personality:
Colton is a talkative, sweetnatured
boy with a heart of gold. While he may come off as a little shy at
first, it doesn’t take long for his happy go lucky
side to shine. He’s quick to warm up and will politely
tap your arm or meow when he’s ready for some love—especially if it means a good bum scratch!
Once he’s really comfortable, he will start having full conversations with you! Whether playing with
his humans or supervising their activities, this kitty always has something to say. Colton has a
nurturing spirit as well, and he has become a devoted big brother to three younger kittens in his
foster home. You’ll often find him cuddled up with them in a soft bed, acting as both protector and
snuggle buddy. Colton still enjoys playtime himself and can’t resist a good string toy or a run
through the cat tunnel. He’s affectionate, chatty, and playful in perfect balance. Colton would do
best in a home with a feline friend to keep him company, as he thrives in the presence of other cats.
Colton is ready to be adopted into his forever home – one that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors.
