Rescue:
Koki had been surviving on her own for at least a month, taking shelter in a pile of boxes outside a
wellknown
department store. The winter was brutal—relentless snowstorms, freezing winds, and
bitter cold that seemed neverending.
People noticed her and left bags of food, but no one stepped
in to bring her to safety. Her eye ached, and every night, she curled up tightly in her makeshift
shelter, listening to the distant howls of coyotes. She was cold, alone, and growing weaker by the
day. Finally, a kind worker posted about her online, desperate for advice on what to do. A Pet Patrol
volunteer saw the post and immediately set out to rescue Koki. It wasn’t easy—she was wary, and
though she was starving, she had learned to be cautious. But the hunger won, and after a few days
of trying, Koki couldn’t resist the warm, fragrant wet food waiting for her in the humane trap.
Now safe in Pet Patrol’s care, Koki is finally warm, fed, and receiving the help she so desperately
needed. Her days of struggling to survive are over, and her journey to a loving forever home has
begun.
Personality:
Koki has become quite the friendly companion. This little lady seeks attention and affection from
her foster family and eagerly looks forward to treat time. She came out of her shell after moving
from the sanctuary to a home. She
was much less overwhelmed and her true personality had room
to shine. Koki loves chasing toys, especially wand toys, and anything with catnip is the best thing
ever to her! It has been rewarding to watch Koki evolve from a shy, quiet cat to a very friendly and
trusting girl. Koki is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
