Rescue:
Katie arrived at Pet Patrol just one week before Kaci, with matching coats and quiet spirits (they are
believed to be sisters). Katie had been seen lingering near a feeding station in a rural village,
staying close to the house as winter crept in. Life outside was growing harder, and though cautious,
she began inching closer to the safety offered by a kind volunteer. She was rescued just in time as
there were new unneutered males making their way into the neighbourhood, looking for females to
mate with. A humane trap was set and soon this sweet girl was rescued. Once at the sanctuary, she
curled into soft blankets, kneading the air and adjusting to life indoors without any worries. It’s likely
she migrated from a barn or cottage country; she may have been left behind or simply abandoned
on a side road. Despite her uncertain beginnings, she has proven to be gentle, loving cat ready for
a new start. Katie is now safe, cozy, and loved at Pet Patrol, where she will begin to show her
playful, affectionate and carefree side. This petite little cat is ready to find a forever home
Personality:
Katie is a sweet and petite girl, just over a year old, with a gentle heart and curious spirit. She took
some time to get used to indoor life, but now she’s fully embraced living in luxury. This adjustment
has allowed her affectionate and loving nature finally shine. She enjoys being pet and will often
approach quietly, soaking up gentle strokes with soft purrs of approval. Sometimes she takes a
moment to decide how she feels about new touches, but once she realizes she’s safe, she’s right
back at your side for more love. Katie is beginning to discover the fun of toys, especially little
crinkle balls, and she bats them around with the cutest determination. She enjoys lounging in cozy
spots where she can watch the world go by and quietly observe all the happenings around her.
With a bit of patience and a lot of love, Katie will become a wonderful, loyal companion. Katie is
ready to be adopted into her forever home, one that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
