Rescue:

Kane first appeared during the dead of winter near the center of the city and a large transit station,
sneaking onto the porch only at night to grab a bite of food before vanishing into the cold. For a
month, he remained a mystery—never staying long, never letting anyone get too close. But one
morning, everything changed. Instead of disappearing before sunrise, Kane was still there, sitting
patiently on the porch. As soon as the door opened, he ran right over, craving warmth and
affection. When he was scooped up, his tiny body trembled, shivering from the cold. He had clearly
been struggling—his fur was matted, his feet were dirty, and he carried the heavy scent of cigarette
smoke. Despite everything, Kane purred, happy to be held, finally safe. With his friendly personality,
Kane had likely known human care before. Abandoned or lost, he had endured weeks of bitter cold
alone. Now in Pet Patrol’s care, he no longer has to fight for warmth or food—only for a spot in the
arms of a loving family, where he can receive the comfort and kindness he so clearly craves.

Personality:

Kane is the kind of cat who captures hearts the moment you meet him. From the day he arrived at
the sanctuary, he settled in without hesitation—lounging comfortably, purring away, and letting
everyone know he felt safe at last. He became a volunteer favourite with his affectionate, friendly
nature, and his love of human company. This handsome boy has the loudest, happiest purr and a
heart full of kindness. Kane loves attention, whether it’s being scooped up for cuddles, curling up in
your lap, or simply following you around to be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s playful and
curious, always ready to investigate a toy or greet you at the door like he’s been waiting all day just
for you. Kane is also wonderfully social with other cats. His easygoing nature and gentle spirit make
him an absolute joy to have around. Kane is ready to be adopted into his forever home—one that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
