Rescue:

Walker’s journey to safety began with a mad dash down the hallway of an apartment building. He
was quickly noticed by a woman who was helping a friend into her apartment, as a flash of white fur
darted past her. “Is that your cat?” she asked the man clumsily pursuing the frantic kitty. His reply
was nonchalant, and then shocking. “Yes, but not for long. I gotta move, and can’t find anyone to
take him so I’m going to take him over to the park and let him go.” Stunned and alarmed, the
woman immediately intervened, telling the man he couldn’t do that! The weather was hovering
around zero and it had been windy and rainy for three days. There was no shelter, no food, and icy
weather. He’d be completely abandoned. She insisted he give the cat to her instead. The man
agreed, and thanks to quick action and compassion, Walker was brought to safety before that could
happen. Now in Pet Patrol’s care, he is safe, loved, and getting the second chance he so deeply
deserves. His past may have been uncertain, but Walker’s future is looking much brighter.

Personality:

Walker is an easygoing, curious cat who’s just as content quietly watching birds out the window as
he is chasing after a shiny crinkly toy. He loves feathers, sparkly things, and will happily entertain
himself between naps. Though independent by nature, Walker enjoys being brushed, petted, and
handled—he even lets you touch his feet and pick him up with no fuss. He purrs instantly when
receiving attention, but won’t pester you for it. Walker adjusts quickly to new surroundings, greeting
you with interest and exploring his environment with confidence. He grazes on his kibble
throughout the day and would do best with a covered litterbox, as he can be a bit of a digger.
He’s a sweet, gentle boy who brings a calming presence to the home and enjoys your company.
With his soft coat and mellow nature, Walker is a lovely companion ready to find a family who will
love him for the chill, affectionate guy he is. Walker is ready to be adopted into his forever home—
one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
