and shelter. Early last winter, a mother cat arrived with her three kittens, quietly settling in just
beyond the property line of a kindhearted woman. She did her best to care for them, offering food
and building a warm shelter, but the little family remained wary. Tragically, they were not rescued in
time, and Dice became the only surviving kitten of the litter. Born in a woodpile two doors down,
Dice eventually found his way to the kitty hut the woman had built, and there, he began to trust.
With patience and care, his sweet nature shone through. He became social quickly—curious,
gentle, and affectionate. When the woman learned she’d be moving to another city, she knew she
couldn’t leave Dice behind. She reached out to Pet Patrol through a small local rescue, knowing he
deserved a safe and loving future. Now in our care, Dice is thriving and ready for the next chapter
of his life—one filled with comfort, companionship, and the promise of a forever home.
