Rescue:
Harriet came from a rural barn where the cat population quickly grew out of control. It all began with
one unaltered male cat and a stray female who was abandoned there. Over time, the situation
spiraled, leaving a retired woman and her adult son—who faces health challenges—struggling to
care for an ever growing number of cats and kittens. These cats and kittens, ranging from 15
weeks to 2 years old, are incredibly friendly and well socialized despite their challenging start in life.
With limited resources and mounting veterinary bills, the family did their best to provide food,
shelter, and medical care for the cats, but it became overwhelming. Recognizing the need for help,
they reached out to local rescues, and that’s when Pet Patrol stepped in. Now safe in Pet Patrol’s
care, they are on the path to finding loving homes where they will no longer have to endure
concrete floors and work benches or live in uncertainty. Their story is a reminder of the importance
of spaying and neutering and how a little compassion can change lives. Harriet is now ready to
begin a new chapter, one filled with love and security.
Personality:
Harriet is adorable. She is a very kindhearted and sweet little cat. She likes her people, likes
receiving attention, and will push her head into your hand for scratches and chin rubs. She is easy
to pick up and is content to be carried around. She is a lovely, sweet, and petite little princess. She
very much enjoys the sanctuary and the playroom that we have, but she did much better in a foster
home. Harriet enjoys being around other feline friends, but the amount of cats at the sanctuary is
a bit too overstimulating for her. This easygoing and fun loving girl is ready to be adopted into her
forever home, one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors door.
