Rescue:

For years, the barn was a safe haven—a place of shelter and food for the many cats who called it
home. Though it had once been part of a working farm, the owners had since retired, renting out
the fields and leaving the barn behind. When winter arrived, so did the bitter reality—there was no
one left to care for the cats. This is the rescue story for Cici, Nyketa, and Nemo. At first, they
waited, huddled in the barn, hoping for the familiar footsteps that once brought them food. But the
doors never opened. As hunger set in, they had no choice but to venture out, wandering through
deep snow and freezing storms, desperately searching for scraps. It wasn’t long before the
neighbors noticed—the cats, once content in their quiet home, were now showing up at other
properties, thin and shivering. Even the youngest kittens, far too small for such harsh conditions,
struggled through the snowdrifts in search of food. Word spread, and soon, local rescuers stepped
in. Knowing these cats deserved better than to be left behind, they worked tirelessly to bring them
to safety. Now, these resilient souls have a second chance—a warm place to sleep, full bowls, and
the promise of a loving forever home where they will never be abandoned again.

Personality:

Nyketa is very outgoing the word “shy” isn’t even in her vocabulary. She is a kitty who likes to
know what is going on at all times. Who is at the door? What are you doing? What’s outside that
window? She never hesitates when when it comes to exploring new environments and she’s quite
intelligent. Brave Nyketa is also beautiful. Classic Torti’s like her have rich colored coats with
gorgeous swirls of brown and black. Her coat has flecks of auburn, gold, brown, sable, and silver.
Stunning. Nyketa is a very happy cat and is thriving with a foster family. She is ready to be adopted
into her forever home, one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
