Rescue:
When winter was just beginning, a woman living in a small village outside the city limits noticed a
pretty black and white cat with an unmistakable white mustache and dainty white paws wandering
around her horse boarding farm. She wasn’t alone—two tiny kittens trailed close behind. It was
clear they had been abandoned, left to fend for themselves in the cold. Determined to help, the
family took them in, providing food and shelter. The kittens grew strong and healthy, and when they
were big enough, the family found them loving homes. But Mittens, the devoted mother, remained.
During her time on the farm, she showed just how sweet and loving she truly is. She adapted well
to life among the horses, was gentle with the rabbits, and even got along with the big family dog.
She became a favorite among the children and the many visitors coming to the farm. Knowing she
deserved a forever home of her own, the family reached out to Pet Patrol, ensuring Mittens would
find a safe, loving home where she would never be abandoned again.
Personality:
Mittens is the perfect mix of independence and playful curiosity, with a relaxed attitude and friendly
demeanor. She appreciates affection—leaning in for pets and massages, though she’s not a lap cat
and prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. She purrs happily when with her people and has
playful bursts where’ she’ll pounce on her toys to bat them around. One of her favorite activities is
perching by the patio door, watching birds and squirrels with quiet fascination. When she’s feeling
extra playful, she’ll weave between your feet, meowing as if she’s telling you all about her day.
Mittens is polite and well mannered – always using her scratching posts and never the furniture.
She’s comfortable with laidback dogs who respect her space and coexists peacefully with other
animals. This pretty girl is looking for a forever home where she can explore, observe, and enjoy
love on her terms. Mittens is ready to be adopted into her perfect home – one that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors.
