Rescue:
Livia appeared on the doorstep of an elderly woman’s home in a tiny rural town, crying out for help.
The bitter cold had settled in, and the harsh winter winds howled through the countryside. This poor
little calico had nowhere to go. At first, the woman thought she was a kitten – Livia was small,
fragile, underweight and her cries were filled with urgency. She was desperately hungry, and the
moment food was offered, she ate eagerly it was obvious that she hadn’t had a proper meal in
days. But more than anything, Livia wanted company. Invited inside, this pretty girl was chatty,
always talking to her rescuer as if explaining the hardships she had endured. It was clear she had
once known the comfort of a home. She was affectionate, longing for warmth and love, and quickly
made herself comfortable in the woman’s sun room. The woman was elderly and knew that keeping
a young cat was not the right thing to do at this time in her life. Now in our care, Livia is ready for a
forever home where she will never be left out in the cold again. Her sweet, talkative nature will fill
any home with warmth, just as she always dreamed.
Personality:
Livia is the definition of a gentle soul. This sweet and affectionate girl takes everything in stride,
showing a calm and easygoing nature that makes her a joy to be around. She loves attention and
isn’t one to shy away from affection – whether it’s head scratches, gentle pets, or cozy lap time, she
soaks up every bit of love she can get. Her trusting personality shines through in the little things – like wrapping her arms around your neck for a hug, allowing her foster family to dress her up, sitting
there patiently, content to be part of the fun and being carried around contently in your arms. That’s
just who Livia is – relaxed, lovable, and always ready to charm her way into your heart. She’s a
chatty girl who enjoys conversation, greeting you with soft meows and happy purrs. Livia would
love a home where she can curl up in a sunny spot, watch the world go by, and be spoiled with all
the affection she deserves. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home – one that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
