Rescue:

Pria’s start to her life was horrible. A woman had heard about a family who had a number of cats in
their home with kittens to give away. It was not a nice home, dysfunctional and accurately
described as a hoarders home in ill repair. There are years of grim on the doors and walls where
hands had touched, floors were filthy with faeces and dirt. There were only pathways through the
home and on either side was stuff, garbage, things piled and left to sit for ages. The litter box was
never cleaned. They would put the kittens in a carrier over night so that they would not run around
and wake them up. But let’s think about this if the house is in deplorable shape, that carrier was
not cleaned either, and the kittens sat in their own faeces and urine every night. This created
horrendous sores on their bellies and feet. Reports have been made to try and clear up the
situation but help is slow. We are very happy to have rescued many cats and this sweet momma from
that home and all have recovered from their injuries.

Personality:

This loving momma is as sweet as can be! While she enjoys being held for short periods, she much
prefers to stay close on her own terms—curled up in a cozy spot where she can keep an eye on
her favorite person. She loves being petted and will happily soak up all the attention, purring loudly
and constantly to show just how much she appreciates it. She’s quite the communicator and will
call out if she hears you nearby but can’t get to you, always eager for company. Her favorite places
to perch are by the window or at the bedside, where she can watch the world (and her humans) go
by. She has a gentle and friendly nature, welcoming the resident dog as if they were old friends.
Now that she’s settled into indoor life, she’s starting to discover the joy of play, dashing across the
room to pounce on a toy. With her affectionate heart, endearing quirks, and soft, rumbling purr,
she’s ready to find a forever home—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
