Rescue:

Petunia’s start to her life was horrible. A woman had heard about a family who had a number of
cats in their home with kittens to give away. It was not a nice home, dysfunctional and accurately
described as a hoarders home in ill repair. There are years of grim on the doors and walls where
hands had touched, floors were filthy with faeces and dirt. There were only pathways through the
home and on either side was stuff, garbage, things piled and left to sit for ages. The litter box was
never cleaned. They would put the kittens in a carrier overnight so that they would not run around
and wake them up. But let’s think about this if the house is in deplorable shape, that carrier was
not cleaned either, and the kittens sat in their own faeces and urine every night. This created
horrendous sores on their bellies and feet. Reports have been made to try and clear up the
situation but help is slow. We are very happy to have rescued many cats and this sweet girl from
that home and all have recovered from their injuries.

Personality:

Petunia is the ultimate cuddle bug who just can’t get enough affection! She will happily curl up in
your lap for full body pets and loves nothing more than soaking up attention. She has a funny little
quirk—she adores being upside down, whether lounging on your legs or being cradled in your
arms. It’s no wonder she’s earned the nickname “Bat” in her foster home! This adventurous girl is
also the first to explore new places, always eager to see what’s around the next corner. Nothing
phases her—not even the family dog! She walked right up to her furry foster sibling without
hesitation, proving just how fearless she is. Petunia is always on the move when it comes to
playtime. She loves chasing anything that moves, from rolling balls to dancing feather wands, and
she has an absolute blast pouncing on and wrestling with her sisters. Her playful energy is
contagious, making her a joy to have around! Petunia is ready to be adopted into her forever home
—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
