Rescue:
Champ’s journey began when he appeared in a quiet neighborhood in Kitchener, near Old Mill
Road by Doon. Neighbors first noticed him lounging in the middle of the road, unbothered and
relaxed. One evening, he followed a family’s son into their garage, happy to find companionship
and a warm spot to rest. The family affectionately called him Frankie, and while he was incredibly
friendly, it was clear from his thin frame that he hadn’t been finding enough to eat. The family
posted about him in the neighborhood group, hoping to locate his owner or find someone who
could help. Many offered to feed him, but no one was able to keep him. Despite his charming
personality, Champ needed a stable home. After a check for a microchip proved negative, and local
shelters couldn’t assist, he was brought to Pet Patrol. Now, Champ is safe and ready for his forever
home, where he’ll never have to worry about being alone or hungry again.
Personality:
In his foster home, Champ has proven to be a wonderfully friendly and social cat. Shyness isn’t in
his vocabulary—he eagerly greets new people at the door, always ready to make a new friend.
Whether you’re working on your computer, watching TV, or settling in for the night, Champ will be
right there to keep you company. He loves sitting in laps, rubbing against your legs, and soaking up
pets and belly rubs. A playful boy, Champ enjoys interactive toys with his human companions but is
just as happy to play independently. Anything that crinkles, jingles, or involves a laser pen light will
keep him entertained for hours. While Champ thrives on attention and affection, he would prefer to
be the only cat in the house, though he’d likely do well with a calm, passive dog. He’s also great
with children, making him a fantastic addition to a loving family. Champ is ready to find his forever
home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
