Rescue:
In the middle of the night a woman heard the wee mews of a little brown tabby, crying outside for
help, his momma or someone to rescue him. He cried for three nights. No mom was ever
noticed in the neighbourhood and in the morning he was found sitting outside on the sidewalk
looking very defeated and worn out. The woman slowly approached him, but Simon, not knowing
their intentions, ran into nearby bushes to reassess the situation. He hid for a bit until the
woman coaxed him out with food and once safely in her arms this wee boy held onto her for
dear life. She quickly took him into the house. Now what? Neighbors were asked if they had
noticed a momma cat or other kittens but no one had and Pet Patrol was suggested to her to
help with the kitten. The woman arrived at the sanctuary with Simon in a plastic crate, comfy
blanket and full tummy of food. He has now settled into his foster home with kittens of a similar
age (Sophie and Suzie)
Personality:
Simon is a sweetheart. He is very friendly and outgoing, and loves his people. After a busy
day of doing what all kittens do -play, eat, drink, sleep, and play some more, he is ready to find
someone’s lap for a good cuddle and to nod off into a gentle slumber. His favourite pastime is
running through the cat sized tunnels, climbing anything he can and chasing small toys. If you
are able to use a big cardboard box and make little windows for him to peek out of, he finds it
never gets old. Of course wrestling and chasing his best buddy Suzie is always in order.
Simon is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a playmate. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
