Rescue:
A woman sent a text message to Pet Patrol, she was very concerned for a pretty calico cat
that had been hanging around her home for a few weeks. Daily she would feed her as the cat,
now named Ribbon, was never too far from her back patio. She had taken up residence on
the comfy outdoor chairs with cushions and refuge from the rain under the BBQ cover. Although she was eating well and seems ok, she was now leaving a glob of pus behind her
whenever she sat down. This is a serious concern. It could be a multitude of things, most very
concerning. They quickly packed her up in the car and headed to one of our vets, a one hour
drive away. Ribbon remained at the vet clinic for a week for observation and during that time
they found a large cyst on her ovary during surgery. She has fully recovered and is now enjoying a carefree life at the sanctuary. Ribbon is very happy to be safely indoors.
Personality:
Such a pretty little cat, Ribbon was initially named Gold Medallion Ribbon as the colour in her
fur resemble the colours in a winners reward. She is sweet and gentle, but no push over with
the other cats. If need be she can be their best friend or stand up for herself. Ribbon has
enjoyed all the luxuries the sanctuary has, the catio, playroom, toys galore and lots of people to
giver her attention. She needs a family and is ready to be adopted into her forever home.
One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
