Rescue:

With the sanctuary settled into a country environment, it is not uncommon to find a few
stray/barn cats coming up to the feeding station on the porch. Never before have we had
kittens born on the property but the B babies were born in the window well at the back of
the building. One morning we noticed a black and white cat hanging around the patio looking quite happy with herself. but a second later she had disappeared. Upon investigation
the next morning our volunteer found four little kittens just as the mama bolted out of the
window well. As three days of rainy weather was expected a rescue mission was put in
place to secure the mom with her babies. She wasn’t buying it. As a street smart cat she
knew what a trap was, but could not be enticed in by food , treats or even her own kittens.
Luckily, at the time we had another nursing mom at the sanctuary and she has since raised
those kittens to be healthy and happy.

Personality:

Becket and his little black and white siblings love to carry small soft toys in their mouth
before wrestling them to the ground. They are part of the feline Indy 500 and like to run
through the cat tunnels, climb the scratching post and and chase each other around the
room in all directions. It is always fun to watch their antics. A collapsible cube meant for
cats is their favourite hide and seek spot. A quick pet and a belly rub is enjoyed before they
move on to their next adventure but once tuckered out they will happily be held and become lap cats. Becket is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a playmate or
sibling. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
