Rescue:

Melody and Mystique were born on a farm outside the city limits. It was almost an hour away
from Pet Patrol’s sanctuary, but the woman who was caring for them was happy to bring them
into our care. Her friend owned the farm and has a male cat, unaltered, living there to keep
the rodent population under control. Then he got a female cat, she too was unaltered and as luck
would have it, she gave birth to a litter of kittens. This was the litter that Melody and Mystique
were born into. Homes were found for the other kittens and these sisters were brought into the
woman’s home and raised with another cat and her only son. Unable to find a home for them
she contacted Pet Patrol and just a few hours before we called, the kittens were returned to
the barn. Immediately she went back to the barn and brought them into our care. They are
very sweet and affectionate girls

Personality:

Melody and Mystique are sisters who love each other. As active and playful kittens they take
pride in chasing and catching a bouncy ball, laser tag and wrestling with each other and the
blanket monster is such fun for them (wiggling fingers under a blanket). They are good with
their scratching posts as well. Both can be picked up and carried, like head massages and
back rubs. Melody is quite dependent on her sister and will cry out if she cannot find her.
Mystique is more independent but will come running if Melody is looking for her. It is very
sweet. Both girls are used to being around a passive dog, as long as it was respectful and
doesn’t chase them. These pretty girls are ready to be adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
