Rescue:
Mia and Moky’s mother was a survivor and showed up in the summer in a small village and
found a house where the kind owners started to leave food for her. In the fall, she presented
her five kittens, and despite the fact that there was a heated cat house for her, the owners of
the house knew that the kittens needed more care. They named her Mitzie and although she
had a protective nature she would need a boost of true human kindness to help her guard
her little ones in the unpredictable outdoors. As soon as the kittens were weaned from their
mom, the home owners started looking for adoptive families for Mia and Moky. They kept two
of the kittens, a neighbour adopted one, and the remaining kittens came into Pet Patrol care,
where they have thrived. (Mitzie is now transitioning from being a strong, protective mom, to
learning how to live the life of an indoor cat).
Personality:
Mia is quite petite compared to her big brother but full of spunk and energy. She is always
ready to run around and they chase each other through the house. When she plays it is always at
full speed, and crinkly balls and springs are two of her favourite toys. Trying to catch that spring
as it flies around the room is a challenge she is always up for.
When it is nap time, you will
always find her curled up right beside her brother. Moky is the best big brother, he will let his
sister Mia jump on him and wrestle. He loves the wire dancer or any ball that bounces across
the room. Playing in a paper bag is always fun and noisy. Inventing games of “hide behind the
curtain” and jump out at the first cat that walks by in the foster home is quite amusing for him.
Moky has the biggest purr when being petted. This pair of siblings love to be together and are
ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and
keep them safely indoors.
