Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who said that her cat had given birth to kittens in July,
and they have really struggled to find homes for them. The kittens were happy and healthy in
her home but there were five of them, all females. It seems that the family had not scheduled
their adult cat in to be spayed and she got out of the house one night. Not knowing that she
had become pregnant in that short period of time, they soon realized after about six weeks
when her belly became larger. Then it dawned on them that she had mated with a Tom cat
outside and was expecting. The family enjoyed raising the kittens and have tried to find homes
for them as soon as they were weaned at about eight or nine weeks of age, but no one was
adopting at that time. Finally, they reached out to Pet Patrol and sent photos. Pet Patrol was
able to take in two of the kittens right away, and not much later the other three came into our
care. The five kittens are happy, healthy and have been raised in a loving family home.

Personality:

Hope and Harmony are sisters who love each other. They are both love bugs who don’t
mind being picked up and carried. They are social and friendly, rewarding good chin
scratches with sweet purrs. In fact, if you do a really good job with the scratches and cuddles,
Hope won’t let you stop! They love to play with toy mice and a cat wand for hours, will demonstrate their expertise in high jumping and leaps for the feathers on the end of that wand. They
are like all cats, sun worshipers and love sitting on a windowsill and watching the entertainment provided by the outside world, and if there’s a splash of sunshine, they’ll soak it all up
during their nap. Their cat bed next to you on the bed at night is a favourite place to snooze
and cuddle up together. Sweet and gentle girls, curious and will do well in a forever home
together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safley indoors
