Rescue:
Poor Leo. He was in his adoptive home for two years and then returned to Pet Patrol. It was
very sad for him and he must be wondering, “What’s next?” His original home was an alcoholic hoarding situation. He lived in a third-floor apartment and somehow ended up outside in
the middle of winter. A neighbour recognized him and contacted the neighbours who vehemently denied that he was their cat. Leo has a beautiful, plumb tail and it would be hard not to
recognize him. Soon he was in Pet Patrol ‘s care and a new home was found for him. The
woman was kind, but life changes sometimes. Her grandchildren had moved closer, and their
allergies and asthma have made it impossible for them to go to their grandparents’ home. It
was a difficult decision to return Leo, and it was one of the hardest thing she has ever had to
do. Luckily he has been fostered in a home that knows him well, his story and his rescue.
Personality:
Leo is a lovely cat. He likes to be in a home with other pets, as that is what he was used to in
the beginning. He is very affectionate, likes to be brushed and although it may take a bit of
time to get used to a new environment he will soon make himself at home. Leo would appreciate a calm home with adults who have experience with cats. It was wonderful to see him start
playing with toys, responding to people and purring delightfully. He loves to streatch out in the
middle of the floor and have his belly rubbed. He is gorgeous and just a doll. He is deserving
of so much more in life and is ready to adoption iinto his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
