Rescue:

A woman called Pet Patrol concerned about this little black and white cat who was found
crying at her door. She wasn’t sure what to do but she didn’t feel she could bring little Elsie into
her home and so contacted the community through their social media. This is a very small
town and people do keep in touch that way. A nice woman with a young family reached out
and soon picked up Elsie. She didn’t feel this little cat should be left out on the street with the
poor weather we were having, cold, windy and damp. As we were heading into December and
soon snow would fall or the temperatures plummet any little cat will not survive. She took Elsie
into the vet clinic to check for a microchip, and even had her little belly shaved to see if she
was spayed. She had neither so then a search began for a rescue to take this little girl in. They
were a good 45 minute drive away and it only took a day or two for her husband to do business closer to the sanctuary and brought little Elsie to us.

Personality:

This little girl knows that she’s quite lucky to be rescued, and is happy to be around other cats
and new people. She is easy to pick up and cuddle and seems very content and happy in
anyone’s arms. She doesn’t mind being walked around and shown new rooms and people
and she doesn’t hesitate to purr. Like all young cats her age she likes to run around and play,
diving through the cat tunnels or racing up the cat trees. We have lots of windows in the current
playroom so she’s quite interested in what’s happening out in the fields or the traffic going by.
Elsie is a really nice family cat and would fit into any home on her own or with another kitty.
She’s very sweet, gentle and polite. Elsie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One
that will welcome her into the family keep her safely indoors.
