Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a phone call from an employee at the corner store in a very small village.
Apparently there was a little “gray cat who was wandering around and wondered if we could
take her “. They had no idea where she came from but she was very friendly and they just wanted to
make sure she was safe. The weather was cold and gloomy and no place for a kitty to be, it was
obvious that she was not familiar with her surroundings. Our volunteer arrive to see this tiny very
thin kitten trying to cross the parking lot in the rain and everyone just watching it as cars were
trying to pull in. This is Holly. She is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat and may have come from one
of the trucks or hay wagons, it’s really hard to say, but she wasn’t in very good shape. Once
safely at the sanctuary, she ate and slept for three days and then soon after went to a foster
home, where she could play with other kittens, and continue to regain her health.
Personality:
Holly is very energetic and loves to be held and cuddled! She is a very curious girl and checks
out new toys, wiggly toys and anything that she thinks she can play with, which can include
shoe laces, a cardboard box with peep holds and your hair. She is particularly fond of little
catnip mice or plastic springs that she can bat around. Holly will come to you when called and
curl up beside you when she is tired out from playing. As an observant little cat she will watch
the birds and traffic outside from the safety of her window sill, basking in the sun and taking it
all in. Holly is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
