Rescue:

One of our former foster homes gave Pet Patrol a call about some kittens that she had found.
She and her partner had been doing business at a farm property about 30 minutes outside of
the city. When they arrived in the scorching 30+ degrees heat they discovered kittens sitting
numbly on the lawn. They didn’t know what to do or where to go as the sun barrelled down on
them. Also on the property were Lila and her siblings, all about a year old. They all had
colds, eye infections (to the point where one kitten could not see at all because the infection
had sealed his eyes shut). The volunteer gathered up the kittens and made arrangements for
all the other cats to be rescued as well. The owner of the property replied “I don’t want you to
take all the cats!”. Pet Patrol persevered and within a week most of the cats were in our care
and their medical needs met. Others still on the farm were treated for parasites and were
scheduled in to be spayed and neutered. They are considered feral and since they had shelter and food/water daily, then their needs were met through summer and winter. Lila has
thrived in our care and is a very nice cat.

Personality:

Lila loves the love and is sweet and adorable, easy to pick up and loves to be held. She is
happy go lucky and interested in all the toys at the sanctuary in the playroom. The kitty tunnel,
dangle toys, other cat’s tails to paw at and other cats her age to run around with. Like all cats
she takes advantage of the sun beaming through the big windows and stretches out for a nap
on her own in a basket or with another feline cuddler. She is gentle and good with everyone
who comes into visit. Lila is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
