Rescue:
Pet Patrol received the following message: “this weekend when we were working in our
yard, we accidentally scared a mama cat from behind a rain barrel. She was gone in a
flash, but then we heard a wee kitten crying. There behind the water barrel, against the
garage in a narrow space, lay one single kitten on a bed of old leaves and we knew they
deserved a real home. We had noticed her in the neighbour’s yard in early January seeking
shelter under their evergreens and when the weather warmed up, she was stretched out in
the driveway”. A humane trap was set up and soon mom and baby were safely in Pet Patrol care. Bailey was an excellent momma to her baby Bijou and even took on two orphan
kittens named Dexter and Enya. All have thrived in our care.
Personality:
Bailey is a gorgeous cat with soft dilute Torti markings and bright green eyes. It has been
fun watching her explore her new environment and getting to know her caregivers, the
routine, and especially toys. Something she has never had before. She loves other cats, is
curious and ideally she should join a home with other friendly and affectionate cats. That
will help her transition. Bailey was initially a bit hesitant with people touching her, but likes
head scratches, neck massages and petting. She is warming up to it slowly. Once she
trusts you she is all in. She needs a patient and consistent person to show her the love.
Bailey is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
