Rescue:
A long time supporter of Pet Patrol send this message late at night: Hey! I and my family found
a torti or calico kitten stuck in a hole where our pond pump is. We fished her out, she is
covered in dirt. No sign of mom or other kittens. We have her in a carrier with food and water in
a well ventilated space. My husband can bring her to you in the morning?” Luckily we had a
space for the little one and she was brought into our care, nervous, unsure of people but so
very hungry. The hole is actually a blue plastic half barrel that houses their pond pump. It is too
deep for a kitten to be able to jump back out of and the slippery sides made her attempted
escape exhausting. She was dirty but otherwise healthy and slept and ate for the next few
days. Named Wisty because the wisteria in their back yard was in full bloom. She has settled
in nicely.
Personality:
Wisty is an adorable little kitten. She has the sweetest temperament and loves to curl up on
your chest, nuzzling into your chin. This little one does well being carried around on your
shoulder, purring and purring and probably licking your ear. She loves a good massage, but
when the toys come out, it’s game on! Wisty loves the cat dancer and the tiered ball toy most,
and she keeps up well with her foster siblings, despite their size differences. Wisty will make a
great addition to any home, especially with another cat as a playmate. Wisty is ready to be
adopted into a forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
