Rescue:

One of our volunteers who works at a local pet food store, called through to Pet Patrol
organizers and mentioned someone had just brought a tiny little black kitten into the store. The
woman had found him at her workplace in a small village close by. She mentioned that initially
there were three kittens, but then suddenly there was only one and they felt they needed to do
something to save him. It is unfortunate that they hadn’t made the move to rescue all three
kittens when they were first noticed them. Since then, the other two have not been found. Little
baby Oakley was rather concerned about his changing environment quite suddenly, however,
he settled into his foster home quickly and he’s become a lovely little cat. Saved from
becoming prey, starvation or illness by trying to live by himself on the street. Babies don’t tend
to fare well with those living conditions so he is one of the lucky ones..

Personality:

Such a sweet boy, Oakley has made himself at home in his foster home that includes other
foster kittens, adult resident cats and children. At first he was a little concerned about new
noises and activities, but being a watchful boy and curious he soon made himself known with
being comforted by his care givers. He is easy to pick up and cuddle and seems to be
perfectly comfortable being carried around. Like all kittens he is enthralled with a cardboard
box with a toy inside, or with peek a boo holes in the side, so he cat swat at anyone going by.
Oakley is an all round nice kitty looking for a loving and devoted home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
