Rescue:
Pet Patrol’s sanctuary is in a community where people do things the old fashioned way. Many
do not have cars or Hydro to parts of their property and they live a rural life. About a year ago
Pet Patrol was at the local small business and the property owner mentioned he had found five
kittens in his garden. They brought them into safely and were raising them. There was a handsome
orange male and three calico girls. They decided to keep the boy and the three girls.
But we warned them that in no time they were going to breed. Sure enough the following
spring he needed to place the moms and their eleven kittens. Pet Patrol was finally able to
convince him to have the male cat neutered and one momma spayed that they wanted to keep
on their hobby farm, and we were able to have them looked after. The rest all came into our
care and are ready for adoption including little Lance.
Personality:
Lance is a handsome black and white boy who is friendly and affectionate. He can be laid
back or, like all kittens, playful and curious. He loves to race around the house and dive into
the kitty tunnel, tussling with his siblings and then the chase is on again. He scampers up the
cat tree with great agility and likes to view the room and the activities outside from the advantage
of the top perch. At nap time he can be found sleeping in the cat house or comfy cat bed.
So far he seems ok with the resident adult cats and dog, not being bothered by them. Lance
is ready to be adopted into his forever home, hopefully with a sibling or playmate. One that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
