Rescue:
Pet Patrol received an urgent call from a woman who has rescued cats in her area before and
has done her best to make sure they were safe. She can house them temporarily, then she
places them with other rescues or finds new homes for them. She had become aware of a
young woman who was living on her own and pregnant. Family and Children Services had
insisted that this young woman’s many cats and two large dogs be rehomed before the baby
is born. The women who called Pet Patrol took in sixteen cats initially and found homes or
other rescues to take some. By the end of the rescue operation there were sixty four cats in
total that needed to be rehomed. The rescue went well, as the young woman who owned the
cats helped by placing the cats into carriers. Pet Patrol was able to help with nine initially and
more later on, which included Missy who was heavily pregnant at the time. Proper authorities
and other cat rescues have been called to make sure the remaining cats and remove them
from their dismal living conditions.. Soon after arriving at Pet Patrol Missy gave birth to Martini,
Margarita and Mojito.
Personality:
Margarita and Martini are the sweetest and softest (really!) kittens. Margarita is the more adventurous of the two, always first to do anything, always ready for pets and tummy rubs, and often requests a sniff of any new object brought nearby. Martini is more reserved than her sister, but loves to roll over and expose her little spotted belly for tummy rubs and give little kisses. When playtime begins, these kittens run and jump and wrestle with each other until they are all tired out. Then back to you for a nap as they pile onto your lap in a cuddle of brown tabby softness. They have settled into a ‘human’ routine of daytime play and nightime sleep – with plenty of daytime naps, of course! Both kittens are ready to be adopted together into their new forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors
