Rescue:

Poor Abby. She was found in a cat carrier sitting by herself outside the door of a church.
One of the parishioners had gone to the church that day to do some work, it is a good thing
for Abby that he had. He was quite surprised to see the carrier outside the front door, and
even more surprised to see a kitty inside staring back at him with fearful eyes. He quickly
took her inside and contemplated what to do. He remembered one of the church ladies is
active with Pet Patrol and he contacted her immediately. soon afterwards she showed up
at the church and brought pretty Abby home with her. We are not sure exactly where she
came from but obviously her owner could not care for her any longer and didn’t want to just
release her outside or take her to the city shelter. Were they connected to the church at
all? We will never know. Abby happily settled into her foster home, but it did take a while
for her to trust people again

Personality:

Abby is a happy and charming tabby cat who loves the simple things in life: naps, treats, chasing toys, and gentle pets. Abby’s early life was tough, but she’s overcome that by being brave and curious, and she gets more affectionate every day. There are even hints she’s planning on becoming a lap cat!  Clean, tidy, and independently-minded, Abby is an ideal companion for someone seeking to build an unbreakable bond of trust with a cat who has finally learned to love. Abby is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
