Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who was very concerned about a mother cat and her
kitten. As the story goes, her daughter’s friend had rescued them when they showed up at a
farm that she frequented. There were other cats there as well, living in the cold, damp barn,
but it appeared that Fluff and his mother were not used to the life style with large animals,
straw instead of fleece bedding and unlimited food. She didn’t want leave them there, especially
since they were shivering, and brought them into her care. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to
keep them in her home due to allergies. She phoned her best friend who contacted her mother
to see if she could house them until more permanent plans could be made for them, and soon
both cats were brought in. Fluff and his mom had the run of the heated garage and settled in.
Anything was better than being cold, wet, hungry and unwelcome. Soon Fluff was showing
what a happy boy he was now safe and well looked after..
Personality:
Fluff is a nice little cat. He now has the run of his foster home, taking to chasing toys and
investigating everything. Toys with bells, dangling strings and the kitty tunnel are great fun. He
is an affectionate cat and is happy to be held, carried and will settle into your lap for a cuddle
and nap as well. He has definitely come a long way from the poor little waif in the barn, and is
now relaxed and content in his new environment. He has no interest in being outside again.
Fluff is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors.
