Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who has connected Pet Patrol to a number of
people, living in rural areas, who needed to rehome their cats. In the case of Rumi, we were
told that he was one year old, had a brother (Pikachu) and that an elderly woman could no
longer look after them. She had gotten them so her grandchildren could play with them, but
being young cats they were too busy. Ummm…not the right story. Rumi is just over two years
of age, is not related to Pikachu but was living with an elderly woman. She and her daughter
sold their homes and bought a new place so they all could live together. But that meant four
cats in the home and some not getting along. The older woman was also on oxygen and the
extra pet hair and litter dust was compromising her breathing. So unfortunately they needed to
down size their feline family. Roomy has made himself completely at home at the sanctuary and
is looking for a forever home.
Personality:
Roomy has made himself quite comfortable here at the sanctuary and although there are quite
a few cats here, all free roaming, he doesn’t seem to mind. He is friendly and affectionate and
ready to meet anyone. He has a nice purr and likes to cuddle up to you and doesn’t mind
being picked up and carried. Roomy is a nice cat who likes to lay in the window and watch
the world outside, from the warmth and safety of being indoors. He has scaled the cat trees
for the best view and investigated all the toys, especially those with catnip. Roomy is ready to
be adopted into a forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
