Rescue:

Here is Manny’s story: This handsome boy was first spotted a local pizza restaurant and gas
station. According to the staff he had been abandoned there a couple of weeks before and he
was only surviving on frozen pepperoni and pizza crusts. A few people had set food out for him
but no one attempted to bring him into safety and out of the cold. This is a tourist town, near a
popular lake, so it’s colder up there and at the time there was snow on the ground. One day a
young lady stopped at the gas station on her way home from work and noticed Manny as she
approached the store. He was huddled up by the door trying to get warm. This tugged at her
heart to see him looking so destitute, cold and hungry so she took him home and contacted
local rescues. At least he would be safe and warm in the meantime. She finally connected
with the woman who would be his transportation to Pet Patrol, living an hour away, but was
willing to help him. The next day Manny was on his way to Pet Patrol, another forty five minute
drive, but safe and sound in the sanctuary enjoying all the luxuries he was denied before.

Personality:

Manny is so very grateful to be rescued, brought inside and kept warm. He showed the love
right away, not shrinking away from anyone who was willing to pet him. He is very appreciative
and readily rubs up against you and wraps him self around your legs, standing up to be
picked up and held. He has a very quiet meow, not demanding and has adjusted well in his
foster home with the other cats, he is no problem at all. While in our care he has explored all
the toys and has shown us how agile and athletic he is, jumping after the wand toy, scaling the
cat tree and racing around chasing toys and batting them around. Manny has made himself at
home. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
