Rescue:
A young woman going into a big box store early in the evening heard the cries of a tiny kitten.
She looked around and was lucky enough to see this little grey tabby girl (eventually named
Ophelia) in the parking lot. It was dusk and it had been a cold, wet and windy day in the Fall,
the grass was wet and so was the kitten. Her heart went out to her and as she followed the
baby, she called her friend who fosters for Pet Patrol “What should I do!”. being completely
unprepared to rescue a cat, she gently talked to Ophelia and then watched her slip through a
chain link fence – her heart dropped. But she did not give up and used a long piece of grass
to playfully entice the little one out. Thankfully a nice man was able to corral the kitten so that
she could be picked up. Success! Soon Ophelia was in her car and on her way home to a
warm bed and lots of food. Ophelia ate and ate and ate, then fell into a deep sleep. She
was exhausted
Personality:
Ophelia is a sweet and quiet girl. She isn’t as playful and crazy as the other kittens, but give
her a good feather toy and she is very happy, as well as playing chase with the other kittens
through the cat tunnels. Her favourite spot to curl up is in her tent, and she’s always happy to
scoot over for other kittens to join her. Her very favourite thing is belly rubs and she loves
rolling over and getting her tummy pets while she gently purrs. If you stop too soon she’ll reach
up and grab your hand to make you continue. She makes the sweetest chirping sounds at the
birds outside and likes watching them from the windowsill. She has the most beautiful and
unique markings and knows how pretty she is. She is very gentle and soft spoken, but does let
out little meows and purrs to let you know she wants attention. Ophelia is ready to be adopted
into her forever home with a kind playmate. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors
