Zippy

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a family who lived on a rural property near a small town. They
have several barn cats who over the years have been quite elusive to the humane trap, which
would take them into a clinic to be spayed. This would end the constant output of kittens (four
to six per litter and three or four breeding females all at once) as it was becoming very concerning
for them to rehome them all. The resources for low cost spay or neuter was limited in
their area and the closest was at least an hour’s drive away. They were willing to do it to save
more unwanted kittens from being born, but they were not able to get an appointment confirmed.
Hence, we had about a dozen kittens brought to Pet Patrol including little Zippy. This
is a good family and the kittens are raised in a family setting, handled and loved by everyone.

Personality:

From her foster mom: Zippy lives up to her name, she’s fast as lightning and likes showing off
her agility skills. She wants to go-go-go, but is always happy to take a break for some good
cuddles. She loves climbing up your chest to sit on your shoulder like a parrot, and her purr is
louder than any of the other kittens in her foster home. She might be the smallest, but she sure
is the loudest and fastest! She also is good at telling you it’s time for dinner or snuggles by
meowing as big and loud as she can for attention. Zippy is an active kitty who likes to play with
wand toys and to zip through cat tunnels, and most of all would like to be adopted into a home
with another young or energetic cat that will play with her all day long, and curl up next to her to
keep her warm all night. Zippy is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
