Rescue:

A woman had called Pet Patrol a while ago about four little kittens that were living outside in
their yard. They have a rural property that is surrounded with fields and trees and the kittens
just appeared one day with their mother. Although wooded areas can hold predators like fox
and coyote, it can also provide gopher holes where mother cats will have their kittens and
larger prey cannot get at them. The people started feeding them but when approached the
cats would scatter. Seeing that her babies had food and shelter under the shed, the mother
soon left and these two were left on their own. The couple were looking for a good rescue
organization for them to go to. They found Pet Patrol and we encouraged them to let the cats
into their garage so that they were safe, sheltered and they could start petting them, which they
did. But having four young cats who were by now four to five months old, was going to prove
to be too much, especially as they reach maturity. Pretty little Wynter and her much loved
sister Wynnie came into our care, frightened and concerned about the huge change in their
life, but happy for the care and patience of the volunteers.

Personality:

Wynter is a very chatty girl who will ask for your love and attention and is not shy about it. She
is outgoing and affectionate, happy to be pet and cuddled and pretty good about being picked
up. She is very attached to her sister Wynnie who is still learning about this completely different
life. She is feeling safe and appreciates the attention given by the volunteers at the sanctuary
and does exceptionally well in a smaller space. They both have had a lot of fun discovering
toys and playing with them. The wand toy is the best thing ever and both, once tuckered out,
will curl up together in a heap of fur and purr for a long nap. Wynter and Wynnie are ready to
be adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and
keep them safely indoors.
