Rescue:
A man and his wife live in a tiny house in a tiny village that just consists of a stop sign at their four
way stop and a church. There are houses close together and then just wide open farms fields.
When a stray cat shows up they tend to take refuge under someone’s deck or shed,
and in the case of C, she had her kittens under the back porch. It was relatively dry, and blocked
from the wind, but it was not providing any sense of warmth especially from the cold and rain.
When C was first noticed she appeared to be quite friendly and the man easily picked her up, but
then he felt her tummy, had a look and saw that she was nursing kittens. He was unable to reach
the nest where her babies were because the porch was low to the ground and they were at the
very back. So Carmen was provided with food and fresh water daily and she was pet and appreciated
until her kittens were brought to the feeding station. Then they took their time counting the
little ones to make sure when they rescued them that no one was left behind. C and her four little
kittens came into Pet Patrol care and soon after onto their foster home where they received lots
of love and attention.
Personality:
Calvin like his siblings have been raised in a foster home with children and other cats. He is just
like one of the gang with them all. He is a very playful kitten and zooms around the house, climbing
the cat trees, running through tunnels and chasing the feather wand toys. He and his siblings
take part in the the feline version of the Indy 500 almost daily , running after each other. He can
easily be picked up and carried and will climb on your lap for pets. His favourite spot to sleep is
in a pile of blankets, in small cat beds or cuddled up to the other kittens. Calvin is ready to be
adopted into his forever home with a playmate or sibling. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
