Rescue:
This little cat was named Love because that is what she exudes all the time. A man was driving down a narrow country road where the grass comes right up to the pavement. He noticed
her laying in the tall grass as she was white and the grass was green there was no mistaking it
was a cat. He immediately pulled over and picked her up. Love started purring in his arms and
looking at him so gratefully. He gently laid her on the front seat of his car and she started purring and kneading the seat in appreciation. She was completely exhausted and nothing more
than bones and fluff. There wasn’t an ounce of fat on her. She had lost muscle mass due to
dehydration and the ability to walk further at this point. They took her to the vet and found an
injury to her neck. She was clearly in a state that if left much longer she would have started a
very slow and agonizing death. They brought her into Pet Patrol care once the vet had treated
her for her wounds, and had given her some fluid for dehydration. She is just adorable.
Personality:
Love has come a long way and her recovery from starvation and neglect has been steady and
successful. She is now a bright, happy go lucky little cat who loves her people and is just fine
with other cats. She likes to chase after bouncy balls, the wand toy and the laser pen light as
they all entice her to be active and curious. Gazing out the window and falling into a nice
afternoon nap in the sunbeam is a delight and watching the world outside is like kitty TV. Love
is just that, such a lovely cat who loves her people and is really loving life right now. She is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family ad keep
her safely indoors.
